The Way Off Broadway theater company in Frederick, Maryland, has become known for its mainstage productions, but also its wildly popular interactive murder mystery series.  This is the 15th year that Way Off Broadway has partnered with Walkersville Southern through its Marquee Mysteries to produce these live, interactive events.  So popular are these events that tickets sell out months in advance!

We have revamped our event space, opting to remove most of the tables from our Southampton car and replacing them with sofas and love seats.  We will no longer assign seats at tables, but instead open the car to guests to choose their own seating in groups that suit them.  Keeping in mind, of course, that your group should only take up the space needed for each person to have just one seat.  We have a selection of four sofas, two love seats, and three tables (each seating up to four people).  This layout offers a more social atmosphere, allowing guests to work together to solve the mystery!  Seating begins promptly at 5:45 PM with departure at 6 PM.  We will return to the station approximately 2 hours after departure. 

In addition to a fun evening of playing detective as the suspects mingle among them, we will provide our guests with hors d'oeuvres and soft beverages.

Settle back and relax throughout your leisurely two-hour train ride. Beer and wine are BYOB (wine glasses available upon request). Please drink responsibly! 

These events are for adults 21+. Riders under 21 years of age will only be welcome for private charters of the entire car. 

Tickets may be purchased online via our tickets/calendar tab, or by clicking on the dates in the left hand column. No refunds will be given for any reason unless the train is cancelled. If you must cancel your reservation, please try to give us as much notice as possible. 

Cost is $99 per person, and includes a two-hour train ride, murder mystery performance, hors d'oeuvres, and soft beverages.
